Lifa was established in 2013 with the vision of bringing our communications expertise and knowledge of the African market to local and international clients.

Our dedicated team of professionals consists of communications, marketing, finance, branding, sustainability, design and media specialists who challenge the status quo and boast extensive experience in each of our focus areas. This dynamic and skilled team of visionaries and achievers is run and managed by Gabriella von Ille.
FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR 10 years of experience in strategic communications and reputation management. Started her career in the Office of Congressional and Public Affairs for a financial regular in Washington DC and thereafter took a job as a mining journalist, which exposed her to diverse parts of the world. Gabriella has a double degree in Political Science and Media Communications from Sweden and the U.S.
SENIOR ADVISOR Senior comms & reputation management professional with over 14 years experience. Masters in Environment & Development from the LSE, she uniquely applies her communications and marketing skills to the international development and environmental sector. For 8 years, Camilla was Head of Communications for Coca-Cola responsible for 18 countries in southern & east Africa. Previously, she was Head of Sustainability for a strategic advisory firm, Africa Practice.
HEAD OF STRATEGY Highly strategic, forward-looking, thought leader, executive in marketing, branding and communications. More than 10 years of entrepreneurial excellence and 10 years of top management experience. Proven track record of decisive leadership and success through effective management of resources and budgets to achieve maximum social impact and global amplification. Previously served as group executive marketing and communications for the Motsepe Group.
GENERAL MANAGER & SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER Over 20 years’ experience in the tourism sector, primarily in the ecotourism space, Nirvani has in-depth experience of both marketing and PR. Nirvani spent 7 years with a multinational ecotourism organisation, focusing on PR targeting consumer media for luxury safari lodges in southern and East Africa. She has an Honours degree in Marketing Management and shares her expertise through lecturing in marketing and sales management.
SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER Chantelle is a media professional with a BA degree in Journalism from the University of Johannesburg. Skilled in feature writing, news writing, online writing, multimedia production, and editing, Chantelle has spent the past 10 years as a journalist specialising in the natural resources sector in Africa. In this role, she has fulfilled several roles at mining magazines which are read by and distributed to a global audience.
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE Over the past five years, Marcia has successfully overseen PR and Communication functions across Lifestyle, Entertainment and Corporate clients through positive multi-media relations, communication strategy, reputation management and social media campaigns. She holds two qualifications from the University of Johannesburg including a BA degree in Corporate Communication as well as a BA Honours degree in Communication Theory.
SENIOR ADVISOR & HEAD OF SUSTAINABILITY 20 years’ experience in the field of stakeholder engagement and community development where her core expertise lies in development policy, strategy and designing programs, social business risk identification and mitigation. Lisl has worked with mining companies across the African continent, including in South Africa, DRC, Mozambique, Zambia and Niger. She is well versed in highlighting risks to the investment community within an ESG framework.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER Enthusiastic design professional with 10 years experience with the broader graphic design field. Work experience within the Advertising, Marketing, PR, industrial Design, and Wholesale industries with extensive experience with branding, packaging, print, layout, digital and UX/UI design. Qualified with a BA in applied design minoring in Photography as well as a a BSc Honours in Digital Design, Technology and Innovation from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
